the computer-based test
The GRE revised General Test is administered on computer on a continuous basis in most areas of the world.

What you can expect with the computer-based test:
If you test in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan or Korea, the test is now taken in one session, all on the same day. There are 1 — 2 fixed test dates per month giving you more test dates from which to choose.
In areas of the world where the computer-based test is not available, a paper-based test is administered. The paper-based GRE revised General Test is administered up to 3 times a year in October, November and February.
